Krista Machovina was born on Valentine’s Day. She never gave much thought to the metaphor of the heart until 2017 when she started an almost daily practice that lasted an entire year. @everydayaheart was a way to listen to what her heart had to say, and record it using new media and techniques. The resulting collection of over 200 works focuses on the good, the resilient, and the heart as the source of inner wisdom.  This exhibition also includes recent oil paintings by Machovina that were informed by the creative freedom of a daily exercise.
