Creature(s &) Comforts

Curated by Kim Marra

February 1 - 9, 2025

Opening Reception: Saturday February 1, 5-9pm

The gallery at Keystone Art Space presents Creature(s &) Comforts, a group show curated by Kim Marra.

Featuring a diverse group of artists, this exhibition invites the viewer to reflect on the ways in which all living beings interact with the natural world in search for sanctuary, survival and companionship.

Through a variety of media including painting, sculpture and photography, Creature(s &) Comforts reflects on the different ways we all seek comfort - through the furnishings of our homes, time spent in nature or through our own imaginations.

Considering the harmony between humans and the creatures that inspire us, from the earthly to the surreal, this exhibition will feature pieces that explore the contrast between the comforts of modern life and the beauty of the untamed.

Creature(s &) Comforts celebrates the depth of human need alongside creatures of all kinds. It’s cozy, it’s colorful, it’s dark, it’s alien. It’s alive.
